A Very Different July 4th Indeed: The Chickens Coming Home to Roost Amidst An Uncivil Civil War

President Donald Trump gave a speech the evening of July 3, 2020 before the iconic Mount Rushmore that has the engraved visages of perhaps the greatest US Presidents – George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. His supporters called it a rousing speech and the detractors (the media for the most part) called it incendiary and racist.
